At Jamaica Energy Partners, we believe in a philosophy of giving back to the communuities in which we operate. We know we can make the greatest impact on our communities by supporting causes that are important in building a solid future for our youth. As such, we place special emphasis on contributing to early childhood eductation and development.
Jamaica Energy Partners adopted the Blackwood Gardens Basic School in the year 2002 as part of our initiative to focus on early childhood education. We also provide two (2) scholarships annually to students from the parish of St. Catherine. In addition, we have made contributions to various schools and individuals including Giblatore Primary School, Old Harbour Primary School and The Professional Development Institute and Girls' Town.
Jamaica Energy Partners also makes significant contributions to other facets of life. Some of our contributions include:
- Health: JEP donated a UPS unit to the Kingston Public Hospital to help protect the voltage sensitive ultrasound machine.
- Sports: Over the years JEP has provided much support to the St. Catherine Cricket Association including sponsorship for competitions.
- Environment: JEP has undertaken a number of initiatives aimed at protecting and preserving the environment. This includes partnering with other corporate entities to provide sponsorship for the Green Expo, participation in national tree planting day activities and donating to the Montego Bay Marine Park.
- Charitable Donations: JEP has made charitable donations to a number of entities and events aimed at improving the lives of others. These include Relay for Life, National Labour Day Projects, The Uprising Youth Organization, Society of St. Vincent De Paul, Missionaries for the Poor and Jamaica Society for the Blind among others.
