Raymond Grant

Raymond Grant has extensive experience in the energy sector with over 20 years’ experience in financial operations and management. He holds an MSc. in Accounting and a BSc. (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of the West Indies. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds professional memberships with the Colorado State Board of Accountancy and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.

Raymond serves as Chief Financial Officer of Jamaica Energy Partners (JEP) and West Kingston Power Partners (WKPP). He joined JEP in 1996 as the Financial Controller; he was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2000. During his tenure, he has contributed significantly to the growth and success of the company. He had direct responsibility to secure funds for the expansion of the Doctor Bird project valued at US$78 million in 2006 and WKPP in 2012 with a project value of US$131 million.


Prior to joining JEP in 1996, Raymond worked with Alcan Jamaica Company as Capital Projects Controller; with Mutual Security Bank (now National Commercial Bank) as Financial Controller; and with Citizens Bank (now Sagicor Bank [Jamaica] Limited) as Branch Manager.


Raymond sits on the Board of the Jamaica Society for the Blind and he is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Andrew. He currently serves as the President of the Jamdammers Running club.
