WKPP’s Dental Fair affected by crime and violence in West Kingston

The annual dental fair hosted by WKPP has been cancelled for the past two years as a result of the scourge of crime and violence in the community. In 2017, the Prime Minister, The Hon. Andrew Holness implemented a Zone of Special Operations (ZOSO) which caused a reduction in community events due to restrictions administered by the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

In 2018, the PM increased military presence by implementing a State of Emergency in West Kingston due to the persistent rise of crime and violence.
