JEP CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE JAMAICA FIRE BRIGADE

For the past fifteen years, JEP has been supporting the efforts of the Jamaica Fire Brigade to improve response times and fire prevention strategies. The Fire Wardens Club is one such initiative that seeks to fulfill the goals of the Fire Brigade; serving to engage youth and reiterate its key messages to residents in the Old Harbour Bay area and, through traditional and digital media, the rest of the island.

Thirteen schools from St. Catherine currently participate in this programme, which has approximately 500 students enrolled! The goal of this programme is to reduce disasters by educating the students, who in turn, take this information to their families and communities.

Jamaica Energy Partners has been supporting the Fire Prevention Unit of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, St Catherine Division for over 15 years and was honoured to make an address at the promotions and awards ceremony held recently. Melissa Newman, JEP’s Public and Community Relations Specialist, delivered the address on behalf of the company.

Students and teachers were awarded for:

  • Top Quiz Wiz Recipients
  • Promotions to Ranks
  • Fire Warden of the
  • Superintendent of the Year
